Vikrant Massey was born on 3 April 1987 in Mumbai. His Mother Meena belonged to a Sikh Family and his Father Jolly Massey is a Christian. Vikrant Massey comes from a middle-class family. His Parents originally belonged to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. His brother Moshin Massey converted to Islam when he was 17. Vikrant has done his schooling from Anthony’s high school in Versova. After that he took admission to R.D National College of arts and science in Bandra, Mumbai. Vikrant loves Dancing since his childhood and this thing helped him a lot in Bollywood. Vikrant Massey announced his retirement from acting on Monday December 03, 2024. On the same day he also attended a special screening of “The Sabarmati report”, a recent movie by Vikrant. In the wee hours of Monday morning, the 37 years old actor announced retirement from acting on his social media, much shock of his fans. After the special screening of Sabarmati report in the parliament house Vikrant avoided the questions asked about his reasons behind the retirement. Acting Career of Vikrant Massey
Massey started his career with television and made his acting debut in 2007, portraying Amir Hassan in “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom”. He is also a trained contemporary or jazz dancer and has worked with Shiamak Davar and was a choreographer on the show. In 2008, he portrayed one of the titular prince Dharam in Dharam Veer alongside Rajat Tokas. Vikrant got bulk attention and fame after acting in “Balika Vadhu” a TV show on Colors channel. In 2013, Massey portrayed Ayaan Ahmed khan, one of the lead roles in “Qubool Hai” opposite Ketki Kadam. The same year, he hosted V The serial and “Yeh Hai Ashiqui”. The 2014 show, Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai, marked his final appearance on television before film debut.
Massey made his Hindi film debut in “Vikramaditya Motwane’s Lootera (2013) along with Ranveer Singh. In 2015, he played a supporting role opposite Ridhima Sud in Zoya Akhtar’s ensemble family comedy-drama Dil Dhadakne Do. Massey First lead role came with Konkona Sen Sharam’s debut directorial venture “A Death in Gunj (2017).
In 2018, Massey ventured into a web show, with the highly popular crime drama series “Mirzapur”. That the same year, he played “Veer”. In his first film of 2020, Massey played the male lead opposite Deepika Padukone in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapak, based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Massey played Ahmed, a Muslim in love with a Hindu girl, opposite Sanay Malhotra, in his first release of 2022, Love Hostel.
The 2023 film, 12th fail, marked a significant point in Massey’s career. He portrayed Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an IPS Officer. And his most recent film is “The Sabarmati Report” that is based on 2002 rail fire attack.

Personal Life of Vikrant Massey
Vikrant Massey and actress Sheetal Thakur began dating in 2015 but became closer while working on the series “Broken but Beautiful” (2018). Massey and Thakur engaged in November 2019 and registered their marriage on 14 February 2022. On 18 February 2022, Massey married Thakur, in a traditional ceremony in Himachal Pradesh. Now they have one child.
