Smriti Mandhana was born in 18 July, 1996 in Mumbai in a Marwari Hindu family. Her father Shrinivas Mandhana worked as a chemical distributor, while her mother Smita was a housewife. When she was 2 years old her family moved to Madhavnagar, suburb of Sangli in Maharashtra, where she completed her schooling. She attended Chintaman Rao College of commerce in Sangli.
