Early Life of Neeraj Goyat
Neeraj Goyat was born on November 11, 1991, in Begumpur Village in Karnal District of Haryana. Neeraj has done his schooling from SD Model school Karnal. Neeraj started boxing in 2006 in the Army Sports institute and studied for 10th standard there. In the first senior national tournament held in 2017, he won the platinum medal. In 2014, Neeraj Goyat won the Gold Medal in the youth National Tournament. Neeraj started boxing because he loves the personality and physique type of a sportsperson. He also started gymnastics, but he chose boxing over it. Through his hard work and efforts in boxing he got selected for the Army Sports Institute. His father Joginder Singh is a farmer, and his mother Kamla Devi is a homemaker.
His Career in Professional Boxing
Earlier Neeraj started doing boxing as traditional way. But after his many achievements in traditional boxing, he started professional boxing. Neeraj Goyat was the first Indian Professional boxer who went to Venezuela for the Olympic qualifiers before the 2016 summer Olympics and won a bronze medal.

“It is my dream to introduce Western boxing culture in India, and the steps towards this have already begun,” said by Neeraj Goyat after his win in US. Neeraj made this speech at a Pune event organized by FITTR, a fitness startup. Looking ahead, Neeraj expressed his desire to fight with Jake Paul Instagram account (Jake Paul Instagram account) who had previously teased and publicly insulted him on social media. Neeraj has been practicing boxing for last 18 years, with 16 years of international experience, now his main motive is to become popular professional boxing in India.
